Maximizing Mountain Agriculture Project (MMAP)
This programme is supported by The Hans Foundation and Himmotthan in amalgamation with Mount Valley Development Association (MVDA). With this program we are aiming at empowering the women of Uttarakhand by providing technical & soft skills training in garment production and up-scaling agro based livelihood opportunities to improve their income.
At present the program is being implemented at Tehri-Garhwal district.

Objective
- Productivity Enhancement of mountain specific selected crops.
- Innovation: Establishment of seed villages, community seed bank and mini storage infrastructure.
- Critical support irrigation
- Farm mechanization, post-harvest and setting up of agro-enterprise.
- Strengthening of the community institutions, cluster federations.
- Capacity Building of the farmers
Deliverables by MVDA
- Distribution of farm machineries worth of 8 lakhs from the Agriculture Department.
- Collection of 45 quintals of Basmati rice under Ujjawal Swayatt Sahkarita and linked to the market.
- Production of rice and wheat increased by 50- 60 percent with 518 farmers.
- Quality wheat seed production with 60 farmers in 5 villages.
