The organization has been working in the Tehri Gharwal areas where securing a livelihood in the times of migration is a major challenge. MVDA officials were extremely flexible in terms of our choice of project. We had conducted Impact assessment of The Farming Innovation for Women Empowerment (FIWE) project, Worked for creating market linkage for the products made by the women artisans in the Market Aligned Skill Training (MAST) project through potential collaboration with Private Organizations’/Individuals/NGOs and Government Departments. In both the projects mentioned above we had the opportunity to work in the closest proximity with the stakeholders and that helped us understand the challenges faced by them, particularly the women farmers. The hospitality of MVDA officials has been worth remembering and they provide you an environment where you can learn at your own pace with experienced professional guiding you at every point. Surrounded by the breath-taking views of mountains and chilly wind, our stay arranged by MVDA was mesmerizing. If lucky, you can even experience snowfall

I had the opportunity to work in two amazing projects related to farm and non-farm activities. It was an enriching experience to conduct a mid-line impact assessment of FIWE project and to establish market linkage for jute products under MAST project. Working in these two projects made me understand the livelihood struggles of women living in the mountains, the resultant migration and how MVDA is pioneering with its work in Tehri to improve the lives of the women.
I cherish this experience especially the breathtaking views of mountains. I would strongly recommend this organization to passionate individuals whose views can be heard and acted upon.

During this time period we got an opportunity to work closely with the organization.
We were mainly working with the MAST program and also the other programs which was already continuing. As a student with specialization on livelihoods and social entrepreneurship we learnt many things during this period. The CHIL and the MMAP helps us to understand how the proper market channel can help the small and marginal producer to get in to the organized sector. Those two programs were helping the peasant farmers and livestock owners to get their products in the market with proper channel.
The working area of the organization covers a large are so this was challenging for us to roam around the hilly terrain as we were not used to go through such geographical location, but we enjoyed this. The people at the organization was very helpful.

Over the course of the internship, we were able to spend many hours with the residents of several villages and got to know about their lifestyle, livelihood, and their personality by listening to them especially of the girls who have passed the intermediate course. The efforts made by the MVDA team in project works are such great and hard to forget.
The advice and experience have been tremendously helpful over the course of time. Once again thank you so much, MVDA team.

The internship at MVDA has given me a platform to understand the development process in the real world and helped me to think the gap between theory and practical. The accommodation given by the MVDA was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing and also the food was fresh, delicious, properly prepared and full of nutrients. The staff members were friendly, helpful and caring from office to field visit. It was a pleasant stay at MVDA. Appreciating everything that MVDA has.

My internship at MVDA was filled with interesting and educational moments. I learnt a lot about the work of grassroot NGOs from writing applications and proofreading the annual report in the office as well as meeting field workers and interviewing beneficiaries during field visits. Living in a guestroom close to a farmhouse family I also got the chance to see and experience the everyday life of a rural Indian family, this included cooking dinner over an open fire, sorting through the produce from the farm and milking the buffalo. The people at the office and in the village were open and friendly and I made some good friends here
