My association with MVDA in Uttarakhand has been a very meaningful part of my journey as a facilitator and social worker. I conducted leadership and self-awareness workshops with rural girls’ groups using theatre as a tool. These sessions helped young women express themselves, build confidence, and explore leadership in a safe space. The experience also strengthened my belief that real change is mutual—while we work with communities, we also learn and grow from them. I remain deeply grateful to the entire MVDA team for their trust and for creating spaces where young women from rural Uttarakhand can imagine themselves as leaders and changemakers.
